After a while, I bought another notebook, a Lenovo Y50-70. It was quite a surprise to find the same WIFI chip in it, the Intel 7620 AC one. I decided to try Windows 8.1 because Lenovo packaged the drivers for that OS with the notebook. No luck, the disconnects happened often. I tried Intel's newest driver as well, no luck. 1e1e36bf2d
